ILION, N.Y. – Reilly Rich and Rachel Yardley had hat tricks for Central Valley Academy Thursday and the undefeated Thunder roared to an 11-0 win over Utica’s Notre Dame Jugglers.
Rich had an assist in addition to her three goals for Central Valley Academy (13-0-0). Jazmyn Gillette scored twice and assisted on one goal, Carissa Roux had one goal and one assist, Anna Markwardt and Shannon Brien each scored a goal, and Kayla Rhude, Mikayla Canipe, Megan Canipe and Maddie Obreza all had assists.
Cameron Mosher made three saves in the shutout for Central Valley Academy, ranked 16th in Class B this week by the New York State Sportswriters Association.
The Thunder’s next match is Tuesday at Oneida.
NEW HARTFORD 10
UTICA, N.Y. – Ten different players scored goals for New Hartford Thursday in the Spartans’ 10-0 win over Utica’s Proctor Raiders.
The Spartans led 1-0 at halftime and scored nine times in the second half at D’Alessandro Stadium. Laura Bedell and Erin Rayhill each had two assists in addition to her goal, and Mary Fiorentino, Sydney Mitchell, Katelynn Truax, Abby Fletcher, Anna Rayhill, Olivia DuRoss, Biddy Clive and Lauren Ellis were the other goal-scorers. Mia Allen made one save in the shutout.
Grace Simmons had 11 saves for Proctor.
The win completed an unbeaten run through the Tri-Valley League’s Colonial Division for New Hartford (10-3-1, 7-0-1 TVL Colonial) which has a match in Ilion Thursday against the Patriot Division’s unbeaten Central Valley Academy Thunder.
