VAN HORNESVILLE, N.Y. – A big second half propelled the Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights to victory in Tuesday’s 61-38 win over the Owen D. Young Wildcats.

The Maroon Knights (5-5) led by three points at halftime on the road and outscored the Wildcats (4-7) 33-13 in the second half. Frankfort-Schuyler held Owen D. Young to three points in the third quarter when it opened a 16-point lead.

Levi Spina led Frankfort-Schuyler with 20 points while Michelangelo Spina and Joe Casamento each had nine, and Nick Maneen added eight.

Stephen Dygert scored 17 points to lead Owen D. Young.

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. – The Adirondack Wildcats had a double-digit lead early in Tuesday’s game and held on to win 53-50 at Little Falls.

Little Falls’ Mounties (3-7) scored only four points in the first quarter but came back with 21 in the second and cut an 11-point deficit to four.

Alex Gaylord, who did not play when Little Falls beat Adirondack 48-34 to start the season in November, led the Wildcats (8-5) with 17 points in their win in the rematch. Brandon Murray added 11 points, and Nate Allen had nine.

Juniors Devon Callahan and Joe Pugliese led Little Falls with 13 and points, respectively as both set career scoring highs in Tuesday’s win. Mason Trumbull had 10 points and eight rebounds, Kaden Calafrancesco had six and 15, and Teddy Schoff grabbed eight rebounds.

ONEIDA, N.Y. – The Central Valley Academy Thunder scored 21 points in the first quarter Tuesday and built a double-digit lead before halftime on the way to a 73-53 win over the Oneida Indians.

The Thunder (7-5, 2-2 TVL Pioneer) led 37-23 at halftime and had another 21-point quarter in the third. The loss was the first for Oneida (3-6, 2-1 TVL Pioneer) in Pioneer Division play in the Tri-Valley League.

Jacob Schoff scored 21 points and led four Central Valley Academy players in double figures. Brennen Semour scored 17 points, Luke Tulloch scored 12, and Brennan Murray had 10. Connor Trevor added nine points for the Thunder.

Vinny Leibl led Oneida with 15 points while Will Merrell scored 10 and Ben Wright had nine.

FONDA, N.Y. – The Fonda-Fultonville Braves fell behind early at home Tuesday but battled back and beat the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Wolves 54-49.

The Braves (9-2) trailed after the first quarter but outscored the Wolves (9-3) 14-6 in the second and led by five points at halftime. They led 34-28 after three and outscored their guests 21-20 in a high scoring fourth.

Andrew Georgia had 17 points for the Braves who got 12 from Mitch Araya, 11 from Jackson Atty, and nine from Angelo Canale.

Tyler Leon led Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville with 17 points and had eight in the first quarter that included a 10-2 start by the Wolves. Leon (seven points) and senior classmate Jack Brundage (five) combined to score 12 of the team’s points in the fourth quarter. Brundage finished with 13 points, and Travis LaFountain had nine.
