DOLGEVILLE, N.Y. – The Dolgeville Blue Devils pulled ahead of Richfield Springs in the fourth quarter Monday and defeated the Indians 60-54.

 

Richfield Springs scored only five points in the first quarter but came back with 24 in the second and led 29-27 at halftime. The Indians were still up by one at the end of the third quarter.

Zach Smith returned to action and had 19 points, eight rebounds and eight assists for Dolgeville (3-7) which snapped a six-game losing streak. Zach Carpenter had a double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, Greg Gonyea had 13 points and five assists, and Tanner Zacek and Austin Green each grabbed 11 rebounds while scoring seven and six points, respectively.

Bretten House scored 28 points for Richfield Springs, and Keith Widger had 12.

FABIUS, N.Y. – The Fabius-Pompey Falcons took a lead in the second quarter, extended it in the third, and defeated the Poland Tornadoes 61-42 Monday.

The teams were tied at 10 after the first quarter but Fabius-Pompey held a 10-point lead at halftime and outscored Poland 35-17 in the second and third quarters before adding one to the final 19-point margin in the fourth.

Eric Beardslee led the Falcons (2-7), winners of two of their last three games after an 0-6 start, with 18 points while Evan Wagner scored 14 and Kewan Trotman had 13.

Sophomore Isaiah Zuchowski led Poland (3-8) with a career-high 16 points. Dylan Miller added 14 points and Kade Ozog had nine.
