BEAVER FALLS, N.Y. – Zachary Mast and Liam Interiano combined to score seven goals for Beaver River Wednesday in the fourth-seeded Beavers’ 9-0 win over the Dolgeville Blue Devils in the first round of Section III’s Class C playoffs.

Mast scored the first two goals, one assisted by Interiano, and Interiano’s first goal put the Beavers up 3-0 at halftime on their home field. Tanner Taylor had the first two of his four assists before halftime.

Goalkeeper Lincoln Becker made three saves in the sixth shutout and fourth straight win for the Beavers (13-4-0) who started the season with losses in their first two matches. Dawson Gerdon and Andrew Walseman each added one goal to the four scored by Mast and Interiano’s trio. Walseman and Oleksandr Birk each added an assist.

Jacob Grossman was credited with 15 saves for Dolgeville (6-10-0).

Beaver River plays at home again Friday against Bishop Grimes of Syracuse.
