FRANKFORT, N.Y. – Devin Thomas, Bryann Brelinsky and Jordyn Conte each drove in three runs for West Canada Valley Saturday in the Indians’ 16-1 win over the Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights.


The Indians scored four runs in the second inning on the road and nine in the third to open a 13-0 lead

Thomas went 4-for-4 and scored three runs, Brelinsky homered and singled, and Maggie Burdick had three hits and scored three runs. Victoria Tasovac had three of the 18 West Canada Valley hits Conte, the winning pitcher, and Kyleigh Gage each had two, and Tasovac, gage and Chloe Smith each scored two runs.

Conte pitched a one-hitter with 15 strikeouts in the five-inning contest.



CLINTON, N.Y. – The Little Falls Mounties scored seven runs in the top of the first inning Saturday and never trailed on the way to a 19-1 win at Clinton.

The Mounties gave up a run in the bottom of the first but came back with two in the second, and they added the final nine in the fifth inning, after which the game was stopped under the mercy rule.

Emma Rasch went 4-for-4 with four runs batted in for Little Falls. Makenna Peruzzi and Arielle Raux each had three hits – Raux scored four runs, and Peruzzi scored two and drove in two – Kylie Miles had two hits, three walks, two runs and two RBI, and winning pitcher Claire Connolly had two hits and scored three times. Rasch and Caitlin Grace each scored two runs.

Conte pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts. Both Frankfort-Schuyler hits came in the fourth inning when Charlotte Rodio singled and scored on a Hannah Banas double.
