WEST WINFIELD, N.Y. — The Mt. Markham Mustangs dropped Wednesday’s first game at home and came back to win their first-place showdown with Canastota in four.

The Mustangs remain unbeaten following the 23-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-20 victory and take sole possession of first place in Division I of the Center State Conference.

The loss was the first this season for Canastota’s Raiders who had been tied with Mt. Markham.

Stephanie Burke had 15 kills, one block and seven digs for Mt. Markham (9-0, 5-0 CSC-I) and served 16-for-17 with five aces; Katie Otis had 12 kills, three blocks and two digs; Lexie Hudson had 13 digs, two aces and two kills; Kaylee Barnett had 15 digs and seven kills; Alexa Bukovsky had 19 digs and one ace; Morgan Stubley had 20 assists, five digs, three kills and two aces; Michala Jones had 10 assists, seven digs and three kills, and served 16-for-18; Aly Ratcliffe had seven assists, two kills and one dig; Amber Bryce had three kills, three digs and one ace and Kayleigh Osborn had one dig.

Loryn Wilcox had 18 assists, eight digs, five kills and one ace for Canastota (6-1, 4-1 CSC-I); Gracie Morris had five assists, three digs and one kill; Taylor Kutzuba had 24 digs and one assist; Raegan Fox had six kills; Liana Meehan had four kills; Becca Popple had nine digs and one ace and Logan Hood had seven digs.

Mt. Markham was a 2-0 junior varsity winner.

SAUQUOIT, N.Y. — The Dolgeville Blue Devils spotted Sauquoit Valley a 2-1 lead Wednesday but rallied to beat the Indians in five games on the road.

The Blue Devils won 25-15, 20-25, 20-25, 25-17, 25-13 and pulled even with the Indians in the Center State Conference’s Division II standings.

Bobbie Lee Hall had 23 digs, 10 kills and four aces for Dolgeville (7-2, 4-2 CSC-II); Frankie Jenison had 20 digs, nine kills, one block, five aces and one assist; Kinsey Randall served 20-for-21 with seven aces and had 17 digs, seven assists and one kill; Emma Bilinski served 20-for-21 with two aces and had 15 digs and one assist; Hanna Chorlton had four kills, four blocks and two digs; Lauren George had 16 assists, 10 digs, three aces and one kill; Samantha Hoke had had 11 digs, one kill and one assist and Breanna Potts had two kills.

Sauquoit Valley is 9-3 overall and also 4-2 in league play.

The junior varsity Indians were winners in two games. Karli Miller had four digs and two kills for Dolgeville; Meredith Minor-Foster had two blocks; Ashlynne Seeley and Lilli Williams each had four digs; Laikyn Cramer-Snowman served two aces; and Brianna Lamphere and Rylee Lamphere each had two digs.

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. — The Little Falls Mounties remain unbeaten following Wednesday’s 25-18, 15-25, 25-12, 25-9 win at Cooperstown.

Abbey Mosher put down 15 kills with two assists and five digs for Little Falls (13-0, 6-0 CSC-II) and served a personal best 14-for-14 with three aces; Abby Slabe had four kills, three aces and two digs; Camber Barnett had four kills and three digs; Kylie Miles had a career high 25 assists, four digs, one ace and one kill; Mackenzie Harrington had two kills; Emma Rasch had two kills, one ace and two digs; Miranda Hubbell served three aces with three digs and Grace Bergeron set career highs with nine kills and three blocks, and had one ace and three digs.

Natalie Brotherton had 17 assists, nine digs, two aces and two kills for Cooperstown (3-7, 2-5 CSC-II); Megan Kern had 10 digs, four assists and one ace; Quincey Chase had 29 digs and three aces; Kaitlin Curtis had 21 digs, three kills and three assists; Amanda Snyder had 13 assists, one ace and one kill; Mae Lowenguth had 11 digs, four kills and three assists; Natalie Johnson had five kills and one block; Sierra Sillaro had four kills, one block, one ace and one dig; Aimee Cook had two kills and one dig; Katie Boyle had five digs and Sophia Lesko and Dora Csendes each had one dig.

Cooperstown’s junior varsity Hawkeyes won 25-23, 25-14 in two games. Caileigh Barnett had four kills and two digs for Little Falls; Jordan Baumeister had eight assists, six aces, four kills and three assists; Lindsey Slaboc had nine kills, one ace and two digs; Jessaca DiPrimo had one kill and two digs; Karlee Gullis had four assists and three digs; Sierra Miles had three digs, one kill and one assist and Alyssa Williams had three digs, two aces and two kills.
