HERKIMER, N.Y. — The Westmoreland Bulldogs were 3-1 winners on the road Wednesday against Herkimer’s restarted program.

The Magicians, back on the courts after two years without a squad, were beaten 25-12, 25-18, 21-25, 25-19 in their home opener.

Jacob Klock had 16 kills, two blocks and one dig for Herkimer (0-2); Patrick Gurtowski had 15 assists, 10 digs and one kill; Cameron Thompson had five kills, four blocks and one ace; Joey Luppino had three digs, two kills, kills, two blocks and one ace; Brett Bala had five digs, three kills and one block; Patrick Parese had 12 digs and Evan Maiorano had one assist.

Mike Sweeney had 22 assists, four kills and one block for Westmoreland (1-2); Justin Matteson had nine kills, two blocks and one assist; Bryce Daskiewich had 10 digs three kills and two assists; Sam Sill had six kills and two digs; Joe Schreck had six kills, three digs, one ace and one assist; Cameron Rothdiener had five digs and one assist; Mike Allogio had 15 digs and one assist and Russell Schreck had six kills and one dig.
