WINFIELD, N.Y. — The Herkimer Magicians defeated Mt. Markham 4-1 Saturday for their second straight field hockey victory.

The Magicians (2-11-1, 1-5-1 CSC East), 1-0 winners in overtime Thursday over Central Valley Academy, picked up their second win over a Mt. Markham team they had tied 2-2 at home earlier in the season.

Taylor Smith scored two goals for Herkimer, and Selena Reinhardt and Megan Massaro each had one. Goalie Katelyn Golicki made four saves.

Ceara Ladlee scored with an assist from Emily McClave for the Mustangs (0-9-1, 0-5-1 CSC East). Emily Otis made nine saves and Carly Curtis had one.

Both teams play at home Wednesday, Herkimer against Holland Patent and Mount Markham against Clinton. Mt. Markham heads to Little Falls Thursday for the Mounties’ annual Pink Game to finish the regular season.
