MOHAWK, N.Y. – Undefeated Central Valley Academy ran its record to 5-0-0 Thursday with a 5-0 Tri-Valley League win over the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils at the Tolpa Athletic Complex.

Jazmyn Gillette had two goals and an assist for the Thunder (5-0-0) who led 2-0 at halftime and had four different players score goals in the victory.

Reilly Rich added one goal and one assist for the Thunder, and Claire Schoff and Grace LaPorte each scored a goal. Macy Vitale assisted on two of the team’s goals, and Kayla Rhude assisted on one. Abby Brown made two saves and Cierra Doolen had one in the combined shutout.

Central Valley Academy has outscored its TVL Pioneer Division competition 20-0 in wins over Camden, Utica-Notre Dame and Vernon-Verona-Sherrill. The team has four consecutive shutouts since beating Holland Patent 2-1 to start the season.

Sam Bentley made 12 saves and Morgan Brewer added one for Vernon-Verona-Sherrill (3-2-0) which had won three matches in a row, including both of its contests at the West Canada Valley Kickoff Tournament over the weekend.
