WINFIELD, N.Y. – Uber Ixlas had two goals for Mt. Markham Tuesday in the Mustangs’ 4-2 win over the Cooperstown Hawkeyes.

Brady Wheelock and David Duh also scored for the Mustangs while Ethan Maine contributed two assists in the season-opening victory. Goalkeeper Jordan Baucom made six saves.

Pierce Snyder and Ted Mebust scored for Cooperstown which trailed 2-1 at halftime.



WATERVILLE, N.Y. – James Kattato was credited with 11 saves Tuesday in the Poland Tornadoes’ 3-0 shutout of the Waterville Indians.

Poland led 2-0 at halftime at Brothertown Stadium and got goals from Kade Ozog, Ryan Kolwaite and Quentin McKerrow. Ozog also had an assist, as did Jordan LaSalle and P.J. Mahoney.

Keith Prindle made 12 saves for Waterville.



SPRINGFIELD CENTER, N.Y. – Five Wildcats scored goals Tuesday in Owen D. Young’s 5-0 win over the Dolgeville Blue Devils.

Jacob Mayton had a goal and an assist for Owen D. Young, and Jeffrey Yaun had two assists. Michael Andreev, Brady Streid, Jakob Peters and David Schuler were the other goal-scorers for the Wildcats, and Josiah Palumbo and Nick Hula each contributed an assist.

Dolgeville, fielding its first varsity team in a decade, got 25 saves from A.J. Monk.



EAST HERKIMER, N.Y. – Rams Morgan Rotach and Jacob Rowlands combined to score seven goals Tuesday when Remsen defeated the Herkimer Magicians 11-0.

Rotach had the first two goals of the night, and Rowlands and Wyatt Jones each added one in a first half that ended with the Rams leading 4-0.

Rotach scored his third and fourth goals in the first two minutes of the second half, and Rowlands followed with a pair of goals three minutes apart to complete his hat trick. Griffin Murray added two goals and Derek Kohl scored one in another quick flurry as Remsen finished its scoring before the 60-minute mark.

Will Rowlands had one save for Remsen which outshot Herkimer 34-3.

With starting goalkeeper Brian Eisenbrey sidelined with an injury, Herkimer got three saves from Joe Carney and six from Zach Williams.




BOONVILLE, N.Y. – Kevin Griffith scored four goals for Sauquoit Valley Tuesday and the Indians defeated the Adirondack Wildcats 6-1.

Trevor Worden added a goal and three assists for the Indians while Sean Sanderson had one and two. Derek Prichard made four saves.

Adam Mercer scored for Adirondack and goalie Mitchell Martin stopped 10 shots.
