Good riddance to Claudia Tenney

Good-bye Congresswoman Claudia Tenney. She has been a textbook example of behaviors and actions of a person unfit to be an elected representative at the federal level. There are many reasons why:

1. Failure to hold a single open, free, public town hall for the purpose of listening to constituents’ unscripted concerns.

2. Uncivil behavior and language towards anyone who didn’t agree with her which revealed her lack of an essential commitment to the people.

3. Uncontrolled and embarrassing anger management issues.

The defeat of Claudia Tenney, a champion of the conservative Trump agenda that hurts central New York families, was due in large part to the network of grassroots Indivisible groups across the congressional district. Nineteen months of constant work and strategy planning paid off.

I am optimistic that Rep. Anthony Brindisi will engage with communities, uplift their voices and concerns, and think about the working class while representing all of us in DC. I encourage you to attend his town halls so your views can be heard and respected.

A preventable government shutdown, an egotistical spar over a racist border wall, is a fitting way for Claudia Tenney’s one and only term to end.
