HERKIMER — Sunday morning worship will be celebrated at 8 a.m. in the chapel and at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church of Herkimer.

The scripture reading will be from Luke 18:9-14.

Worship Without Walls is looking for donations of socks during the month of October. Donors are asked to leave their socks for men, women and children in the plastic totes.

Signup sheets are available for the chicken and biscuits dinner. Individuals are asked sign up to make a donation or to help prepare the meal. The dinner will benefit the campership program.

Herkimer Reformed

HERKIMER — The congregation of the Herkimer Reformed Church invites everyone to join them as they gather in the name of Jesus Christ at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Pastor Kyle Nesbitt will deliver a proclamation of the word focused on scripture from Jeremiah 14:7-10, 19-22, Luke 18:9-14 and Psalm 119.

Nursery care will be provided and the church is wheelchair and handicap accessible.

A gospel discussion and coffee hour will be provided after worship on Sunday. All are welcome to join the conversation and attendees are asked to bring a goodie to pass.

The Shepherd’s Table will serve lunch from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Dinners are served at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of the month.

The church’s annual rummage sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 9.

LITTLE FALLS — The congregations of Holy Family Parish of Little Falls and St. Joseph’s Church of Dolgeville will gather this weekend to celebrate the 30th Sunday in ordinary time.

Vigil Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. today at Holy Family Parish, with the Sacrament of Reconciliation offered from 3 to 3:30 p.m.

Sunday Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph’s and at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at St. Joseph’s Church, or by appointment.

Daily Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Monday and Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Church and at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at Holy Family Parish. Daily Mass will be canceled if there is a funeral.

Cereal, oatmeal and juices will be collected for the food pantry at weekend Masses at Holy Family Parish. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

Rev. Jeffrey Frank will lead the service that will center around the music of the Beatles.

Music director Mark Bunce will lead the combined choirs in a Beatles medley, "Can’t Buy Me Love and Imagine." Keyboard selections will include "The Long and Winding Road," "Yesterday" and "Come Together."

The social justice collection for the months of October and November will go toward the Gram Lorraine Christmas program. Additionally, Little Falls Community Outreach is collecting personal items.
