UTICA — The 2019 season of Handshake.City comes to a close on Halloween weekend with events on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 26-27.

Haunted Handshake, a haunted-house style experience, will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. An entrance fee of $5 per person will help the not-for-profit organization maintain operations during the winter months (free for members). Tours will start from the warehouse and refreshments will be available upon completion of the experience.

Haunted Handshake is intended for adults, parental discretion advised.

Barks + Boos, a Halloween twist on the fan-favorite event that is both dog and family friendly, will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Attendees can show off their Halloween looks during a pup and parent costume contest with prizes and free trick-or-treating for kids. Live

music from local band One More Time with play the soundtrack for the day. There will be games and activities, a fall vendor marketplace and food and local beer available for purchase.

Barks + Boos is free, but attendees are asked to bring empty cans and bottles to donate to the Utica Hurricanes 12U Baseball Club Can and Bottle Drive.

Handskake.City is located at 26 Whitesboro St., under the bridge from Utica’s Union Station in Bagg’s Square.
