This is the first year in New York State that voters can take part in early voting, which begins Oct. 26.

In Madison County, early voting will be available at the Madison County Board of Elections Office, located at 138 North Court St. in Wampsville, on first floor of building four next to the DMV office. Voters will vote on the same voting system used on Election Day.

Hours for early voting will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 26 and 27 and Nov. 2 and 3; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 28 and 31 and Nov. 1; and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 29 and 30.

Anyone who wishes to vote as an absentee can pick up an application form from the Madison County Board of Elections by calling 315-366-2231, or by downloading at madisoncounty.ny.gov/boe. They may also go to the Board of Elections office during office hours and early voting hours to fill out an absentee form and vote in person.

It is too late to register to vote for this General Election. This time is available to facilitate voters who wish to vote early. No votes will be tallied until the close of polls on election night.
