EOH hosts first annual Paranormal Investigations

For one night only, there will be guided Paranormal Investigation tours through the Earlville Opera House’s historic 1892 venue from 7 to 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. to midnight Friday, Oct. 25. Tours are led by seasoned paranormal investigator Kenny Harris who will provide a night of fun, education and exploration of the paranormal possibilities at the EOH.

Methodist Church hosts breakfast Oct. 26

The Madison Methodist Church will host a plain or apple pancake breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. The menu also includes scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, orange juice and coffee.

Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 5-12 and free for younger than five.

EOH becomes Haunted Opera House

The Earlville Opera House’s historic 1892 theater will be transformed into the cherished annual Haunted Opera House from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. Adults should use discretion with the young ones.

The Haunted Opera House is entirely free and open to the public, although freewill donations are welcome. Note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Prior to the Haunted House from 6-7 p.m., Bell Tree will host free craft activities, a costume contest, photo booth and more. Babysitting is available from 7-9 p.m. during the EOH haunting hours for $5 per child. Bell Tree is located at 20 North Main St. in Earlville.

Hamilton Halloween fun returns

The fourth annual Halloween in Hamilton kicks off from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 as The Colgate Bookstore at 3 Utica St. hosts a Scooby-Doo party. Children will then parade in costume down Lebanon Street from 4 to 4:30 p.m. as local shops hand out treats.

At 4:30 p.m., the Hamilton Movie Theater at 7 Lebanon St. will play the 2008 film, "Scooby-Doo and the Goblin King." The Hamilton Public Library will offer kids' activities under the theater marquee before the movie. All Halloween in Hamilton events are free and open to the public.

Augusta Church hosts Halloween party

The Augusta Presbyterian Church, 2345 Route 26 in Oriskany Falls, will host its annual Halloween and fall party for kids at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27.

There will be games, snacks, and crafts. All children are invite to come. Costumes are optional. The event is free.

Halloween in Lebanon

Lebanon town-wide trick-or-treating is from 5 to 6:30 pm. Oct. 31. The Lebanon Community Club (LCC) will host a Halloween party starting at 6 p.m. the same evening, with activities for the kids, lots of yummy refreshments and costume judging at 7 p.m. This event is open to the public and all ages are welcome.

The Lebanon Community Club is located in the old train depot at 5370 Lebanon Road in the hamlet of Lebanon.

Jazz at Noon returns Nov. 2

Music fans can listen, lounge and lunch with Arts at the Palace from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 as the monthly Jazz at Noon returns.

November’s performance will feature host Joe Carello on saxophone, Julie Falatico Montalbano on vocals, Jimmy Johns on drums and Rick Montalbano on keyboard.

Chartwells will be serving turkey or tofu with gravy and a side of mashed potatoes and corn, along with pumpkin chai cheesecake for dessert. Lunch will be served from noon to 12:45 p.m.; dessert and coffee will be available throughout the event.

The cozy, relaxed atmosphere of the Palace Underground is located at 19 Utica St. in Hamilton.

There will be a suggested donation at door. The event is sponsored by Chartwells.
