UTICA — More than 100 members of the PrattMWP Class of 2019 received their graduation certificates Wednesday afternoon as friends and family members watched in the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute’s Museum of Art.

The students majoring in Art & Design Education, Communications Design, Fine Arts and Photography were the 18th class to graduate from the two-year program.

One of the graduates, Natalie van Oyen, delivered the Sophomore Address to fellow classmates, faculty members and guests in attendance.

“We came and we conquered. Living in a small college community has helped all of us grow in one way or another,” van Oyen said with a smile. “... When the work is finally done it’s all worth it because our passion is what we live for."

Food and music was offered to guests before, during and after the graduation ceremony, along with an exhibit of work by graduates throughout the museum, which they took home with them when they left.
