UTICA — A Utica man faces felony weapons charges following a domestic dispute, city police said.
Officers Tuesday were sent to 805 South St. regarding a domestic incident in which the victim stated her boyfriend, Jonathan Hines, 38, had punched her in the face, officials said.
Information also was developed that a handgun, ammunition and narcotics were likely within the residence, police said.
Patrol and GIVE units then searched the residence and found a Glock .9mm handgun, a loaded magazine, a military-style ballistic vest and a felony amount of marijuana packaged in sealed vacuum bags, officials said.
Hines was charged with possession of a firearm, third-degree possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of marijuana, all felonies, and second-degree harassment, a violation, police said.
