Anyone thinking of raising dairy replacements or beef cattle is invited to a Dairy Alternative Meeting Wednesday, Jan. 16 at the Copper Turret Winner’s Circle Restaurant in Morrisville.
Topics of the Cornell Cooperative Extension-organized meeting will include “Raising Dairy Replacements—Best Management Practices” by David Balbian, CNYDLFC Area Dairy Management Specialist; “Transitioning to Beef Cattle Production” by Ashley McFarland, CNYDLFC Area Livestock Specialist; and “What do the Economics Look Like?” by Nicole Tommell, CNYDLFC Farm Business Management Specialist.
The meeting runs from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Copper Turret Winner’s Circle Restaurant, located at 15 West Main St. in Morrisville. Cost is $20 per person and includes lunch. Pre-registration deadline is Monday, Jan. 14.
