The Morrisville Public Library’s Canned Food Drive to benefit the Morrisville Food Pantry has begun and will continue until the end of February. Please help us make it better than last year! Please note: We can only take UNEXPIRED items.

Be sure to join us at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan 11, for our Teen/Adult Movie Night when we present the 2018 version of “Little Women.” This is rated PG-13 so no one under the age of 13 will be allowed in without a parent/guardian. We provide the popcorn; you bring your own beverage.

Bring the little ones in for Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15. Bring your toddler or preschool child in and help us enjoy the topic “Let it Snow!” with stories, finger plays, a craft and more. Or join us on Tuesday, Jan. 22, when our topic will be “Elephant Walk!”

Looking for a good book to read? How about joining our book talk” We will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, to discuss “My Name is Lucy Barton” by Elizabeth Strout. Copies can be picked up now and the discussion is open to teens and adults.

We are hosting two Nerf Nights in January - kids 10 and up can play from 8:30 to 11 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, and "Nerf for Littles" (ages 4-8 ONLY) is from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19. Note: Parents must stay on site for the “Littles” one. Stop into the library and sign up for one or the other. Make sure to get a permission slip for each child as we will not allow kids to play if they don’t arrive with one all completed.

Please join us for Family Movie Night at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, for the film “Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween.” We provide the popcorn so bring the family and your own beverage.

The Library Board of Trustees will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, in the program room. The public is welcome to attend.

The library will be closed Monday, Jan. 21, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Our regular hours are from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
