LEE — Two people suffered minor injuries from a vehicle crash Saturday in the town of Lee, according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said 49-year-old Timothy Hickey of Rome was headed north on Route 26 when he attempted to make a right turn near Delta Lumber into a parking lot when 50-year-old Bonnie Staple of Taberg rear-ended him.

Members of the Lake Delta Fire Department, Lee Center Fire Department and emergency services personnel treated Hickey and Staple at the scene before they were transported by ambulance to Rome Memorial Hospital, according to the sheriff's department.

Staple, deputies said, was issued a traffic summons for following too closely.
