ROME — A Rome man has been arrested on the allegations that he choked a woman during a domestic altercation, according to the Oneida County Sherriff's Office.

Deputies said 29-year-old Brian K. Platt was charged with felony second-degree strangulation and second-degree harassment. He is being held in the Oneida County Jail pending his arraignment.

According to the sheriff's office, the woman called 911 at approximately 7:38 p.m. Friday following the altercation. An investigation is ongoing.
