UTICA — A snapped primary line on Oriskany Boulevard briefly caused a power outage that affected 1625 customers, according to National Grid.

Communications Representative Kathy Hill said the incident occurred at 5:40 p.m. Most customers got their power back by 6:32 p.m., she said, and all affected customers had their power completely restored by 8 p.m..

The line snapped due to cold conditions, Hill said.
