UTICA — The City of Utica will close roads near Greenwood Court on Saturday and Sunday to put signage in place that will change traffic patterns.

Crews will change the road between Oneida Street and Holland Avenue to a one way, with traffic traveling east to west from Oneida Street and Holland Avenue, according to a release. The street will be closed, with the exception of local traffic, from 6-11 a.m.

The one way will be a 90-day temporary trial, where the Utica Police Department will monitor traffic in the area. The trial is due to residents sharing concerns about the high volume of traffic through the area.

Resident feedback and the findings of a study will determine if the street signage will stay.
