The Morrisville Lions Club recently presented a plaque to Joan Zazzara in honor of her late husband, Tony Zazzara. The plaque commemorated his years of service and dedication to the Morrisville Lions Club. The club also contributed, in his memory, towards the purchase of outdoor building blocks for the Morrisville State Children's Center playground.

Zazzara was a dedicated Lion and professor who served his community with pride. He will always be remembered by his smile and his eagerness to serve.

The Lions also screened 22 children that day through the Lions SEE (Screen Eyes Early) program. The screening detects nearsightedness, farsightedness, unequal refractive power, irregular eye shape, cataract, and eye misalignment. If an abnormality is detected, it is recommended for the child to see an eye care professional.

Anyone interested in learning more about the Lions Club is invited to attend a meeting at 6:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at The Fort, located on Route 20 in Morrisville, or call Jeff Golley at 315-750-0637.
