An early goal in each half behind another shutout from Kelly Chiavaro fueled the Colgate women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Lafayette Saturday, Oct. 6, in a Patriot League contest at Oaks Stadium, Easton, Pennsylvania.

Colgate got on the board just 3:43 into the contest when Ruby Diodati passed to Ellis Miller who made the shot just inside the right post to give the Raiders the early 1-0 lead. Colgate held Lafayette to no shots and took the 1-0 lead into the break.

The Raiders doubled their lead in the second half on a cross from Dom DeMarco into the box which was headed into the net by Sage Digiulio to extend Colgate's lead in the 53rd minute.

Colgate held on to the lead, fending off two corner kicks late in the match to secure the 2-0 shutout victory.

Chiavaro recorded 3 saves in goal.
