WESTMORELAND — A Rome woman was injured in a vehicle crash after an unidentified driver failed to yield, Oneida County sheriff's deputies said.

Debby Perry, 59, was driving west on Lowell Road when a black pickup truck with teal on the sides failed to stop at a stop sign on Moore Road, deputies said.

Perry attempted to swerve to miss the truck and lost control of her vehicle, crossing over the roadway and striking a tree on the southern shoulder, authorities added.

Deputies said Perry was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.

The sheriff’s office is trying to identify the driver operating the black and teal pickup truck. Anyone who may have seen the accident is asked to call the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office at 315-736-0141.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Town of Westmoreland Fire Department and COCVAC Ambulance.
