ILION — The Central Valley school district will not be accepting additional out-of-district students for the next two years, other than those who have already been accepted or who qualify under specific categories in the school’s policy.

The board voted Wednesday to approve a revision to Policy No. 7002 stating the district would not accept new applications received after Aug. 1, 2018 through June 30, 2020.

This will not affect students who are already enrolled or the children of school employees who wish to have their children attend Central Valley.

School Superintendent Jeremy Rich will have discretion in the matter.

Jarvis Middle School will be closed for the next two school years and students in grades 5-8 are being divided between the Central Valley Academy and Barringer Road Elementary School buildings.

The board discussed its tuition policy for non-resident students during a meeting last month, but decided not to make any changes at this time.
