• Marian Eucharistic Healing Conference 2018 will take place Saturday and Sunday, July 2l-22, at Christ the King Retreat House, 500 Brookford Road, Syracuse. • Annual French Road Church service will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at the church at the corner of Steuben and French roads, Remsen. The service will be lead by the Rev. Paul Credle, with hymns led by Jay Williams III, accompanist Doris MacDonnell and special music.

• Unitarian Universalist Church of Utica, 10 Higby Road, will host an outdoor service presented by the  Climate Action Sub-Committee titled  "Communing with Nature in Unitarian Universalist Utica’s own backyard!" The service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 15. Bring a lawn chair. 

• Westminster Moriah Olivet Presbyterian Church’s book discussion group will meet at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at Symeon's Restaurant, 4941 Commercial Drive, Yorkville. The church’s Sunday services are at 10:30 a.m. at 714 Washington St., Utica.

• The Rev. Dennis Dewey will be the guest worship leader at New Hartford Presbyterian Church, 45 Genesee St., at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, July 15 and 22. Rev. Dewey’s journey as a minister of Biblical stories spans more than 35 years, during which he has performed and taught worldwide. He has served pastorates in the Albany and Utica areas, most recently at Stone Church in Clinton, from 2007 until his retirement in 2015. New Hartford Presbyterian’s special children’s program, "Some Assembly Required – Learning About God with Legos" also will continue both Sundays, as will registration for Vacation Bible School set for July 30-Aug. 3. • Grace Church Episcopal will observe The Eighth Sunday after Pentecost 8 a.m. Rite I and 9:30 a.m. Rite II on July 15. These Sunday summer service hours continue through Labor Day. The choir will return in September. A food drive for the church’s St. Margaret’s Food Panty hosted by Boscov's continues through July 31. • An ECK Light and Sound service to celebrate the Light and Sound of God, divine love in expression will take place at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 22, at the Holiday Inn on Burrstone Road, Utica. Share your insights or listen to the experiences of others in an open discussion.

• The annual nine-week novena to Our Lady of Mount Carmel concludes 7 p.m. Monday, July 16, at St. Mary of Mount Carmel / Blessed Sacrament Parish, 648 Jay St., Utica with the Rev. Jim Cesta as celebrant.

• The Saint Padre Pio Prayer Group will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19, at St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church Parish Center, 702 Columbia St., Utica. Recitation of the Rosary, prayers and songs to St. Padre Pio along with a lesson on the life of St. Padre Pio will take place. All members are encouraged to attend, and the public is welcome. • Augusta Presbyterian Church, at 2345 State Route 26 in Augusta will host its annual Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8 p.m. July 23-27. This year's theme is Camp Out S'mores for Jesus. The VBS is for all kids ages 3 to 12. Enjoy games, snacks, stories and music. The week is free and open to everyone.

• The Snells Bush Church, Dockey Road, Little Falls, will conduct a flag-raising ceremony and dedication of its Revolutionary and War of 1812 graves of soldiers buried in the church cemetery. The event will take place at 10:30 a.m. A church service will take place at 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, honoring the 80th anniversary of the Snell-Zimmerman-Timmerman family reunion. A luncheon follows, and a donation is required. Though the years this event has become a meeting place to discuss genealogy and visit with friends and neighbors and family members. Old photos, newspaper clippings and genealogy books to sell will be on display. Over the years, the Snell-Zimmerman-Timmerman families are trying to help maintain and save the church.
