The folks at the Hamilton Senior Center are patiently waiting for Bill Bogan to get back home from the hospital. He has been there a long time now and we sure miss him.

Our Father’s Day dinner will be Wednesday, June 20, and we will have a cookout using that new grill that was purchased from the proceeds of the garage sale. We will be cooking hot dogs and hamburgers along with sausage and chicken quarters. We will also serve homemade potato salad. And to top it all off, we will be making Root Beer floats.

I am looking forward to this summer's fresh produce. Can't eat too many veggies, ya know. The farmers market in Hamilton is an excellent place to acquire a very fresh selection of produce. I want to encourage everyone to become aware of how important fresh vegetables are for your health, especially our community seniors.

A reminder to anyone over the age of 60 – you are invited to join us at the SNACK program (Senior Nutrition And Country Kitchen). We serve lunch every weekday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Building 5, the senior center, at Madison Lane Apartments in Hamilton. The suggested donation is $3.50 per person. If you have an interest, please call me at 315-824-3095 and leave a message; I'll get back to you as soon as possible and get you started.
