Michael Clough, secretary for the Community Benevolent Foundation as successor in kind to the Hamilton Lodge No. 120 of the F&AM Masonic Lodge, recently presented a donation to Jean Chapin, a member of the Community Wellness Center’s (CWC) board.
“We support the Community Wellness Center's service to the area community. With over 100 CWC members attending the Wellness program each week, the foundation wanted to support the center’s goal to improve mobility, strength, balance and coordination,” said Clough when asked why they chose to support the CWC. “Striving to maintain a high level of functioning for as long as possible enables so many to lead healthy and productive lives.”
“It is wonderful that the Masons decided to back us. Originally, we requested a spaghetti dinner with proceeds going to support our program, but the Lodge couldn’t get the help it needed to put on a large undertaking. So they made a donation from their Foundation. We are most appreciative that the Masons see value in what we do,” added Chapin.
The Community Wellness Center is located on Route 12B in Hamilton, across from McDonald’s. Stop in and see why so many neighbors are CWC members or call 315-825-0163 for more information.
