ILION — A Frankfort man was arrested on various drug charges following a five-month investigation by the Ilion Police Department and the New York State Police CNET (Community Narcotics Enforcement Team), according to a news release from village police.
James J. Plano, 47, of Millers Grove Road, was arrested Wednesday and charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for having a narcotic drug that had an aggregate weight of one-half ounce or more, police said.
Police seized 11 indvidually wrapped bags of cocaine and money during the arrest, authorities said.
Plano was arraigned in the Village of Ilion Court and sent to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility, authorities said.
He is scheduled to reappear in Ilion Court on Friday, June 8.
