WHITESBORO — The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help following an early morning robbery Tuesday.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to the area of Westmoreland Street and Oriskany Boulevard at 3:20 a.m. for a reported robbery.

Officials said a 68-year-old male was walking by himself when he was approached by a single male suspect and knocked to the ground. 

After the victim was knocked to the ground, the suspect then removed his wallet, cellphone and keys, official said.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20's wearing all black last seen on foot towards Oriskany Boulevard, deputies said.
