The Madison County Office for the Aging and area SNACK sites will be closed Monday, Feb 19, for the Presidents Day holiday. The Madison County Landfill Administration Office will also be closed but the operations and recycling center will be open normal hours. Other closings include area schools, banks, government offices, and most libraries. The Mid-York Weekly office will be open as usual.
Open Farm Day
A re-organizational meeting for Open Farm Day 2018 will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Madison County Cornell Cooperative Extension Office at 100 Eaton St. in Morrisville. If you are a Madison County farmer interested in participating in this year’s Open Farm Day, attend this meeting to hear the changes, updates, and plans for this year. Board alternates sought
The town of Hamilton is currently seeking town residents to serve as alternates for the town’s planning board and the zoning board of appeals. The positions are a volunteer, non-compensatory membership with a term of three years for planning board and five years for zoning board. Both require residency within the township.
