The Hamilton Lifelong Learning Program (LLP) will offer an Introduction to Ten Ancient Grains as its Wednesday, Feb. 28, program. The class will be held from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in Donovan’s Pub on the Colgate University campus.

This class will introduce participants to Ancient Grains and how they can fit into a healthy diet. Participants will learn about the nutritional benefits of grains and get to sample some grainy delights.

The program is facilitated by Christian S. Jarreau, director of catering at Colgate Dining Services and Lee Ann DiBiase. A registered dietician who also works for Colgate Dining Services, holds a Master of Science in nutrition.

Open to adults of any age, the LLP offers courses, classes, lectures and events that respond to community interest. The non-credit program is organized by community members and sponsored by Colgate University’s Upstate Institute.

These courses are open to all. Courses are free to members; a $5 fee per session will be collected for nonmembers. For more information on Lifelong Learning Programs, including complete program descriptions, and how to register or become a member, visit or call 315-228-6623 and leave a message.
