HERKIMER -- A Little Falls man is facing charges in connection to the alleged theft of two vehicles in the village, Herkimer police said.

Troy Rockwell, 29, has been charged with two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny in the thefts, police said. One vehicle was stolen from Mohawk Street near South Main Street on February 6, police said. The second was stolen from a residence on Green Street on February 8, according to police. Both were recovered.

New York State Police also charged Rockwell in connection with a burglary outside the village, Herkimer police said.

Rockwell was arraigned in village court and remanded to county jail in lieu of $15,000 bail or $30,000 bond. More charges may be pending from other jurisdictions, police said.

Herkimer police were assisted in their investigation by police in Little Falls and the town of Frankfort, and by state police.
