BOONVILLE — Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident Monday that occurred on Academy Street, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.

An investigation revealed that Michael Sokoloff, 63, of Boonville, was driving north on Post Street when he conducted a wide turn onto Academy Street, while failing to keep right at the intersection, and struck a vehicle, driven by Charles Halstead, 62, of Port Leyden, officials said.

No injuries were reported but Halstead was evaluated on the scene by the Boonville Fire Department for a complaint of pain in his lower arm, deputies said.

Sokoloff was issued a citation returnable to Village of Boonville Court at a later date and time.

The Boonville Police Department also assisted on the scene.
