Grief Survivors support group to meet Feb. 20
The Good News Center, 10475 Cosby Manor Road, conducts its Grief Survivors support group from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. every other Tuesday. Upcoming meetings include Feb. 20, March 6 and 20.
This is a non-denominational support group for those suffering the loss of a loved one. Learn to face the difficulty associated with losing a loved one.

Annual Herb and Flower Festival June 16
Cornell Cooperative Extension Oneida County’s annual Herb and Garden Festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at the Parker F. Scripture Botanical Gardens at the Oneida County Farm and Home Center, 121 Second St.
The festival includes four classes for gaining new gardening knowledge, and nearly 50 garden merchants selling abundant plants including trees, shrubs, flowers and vegetable plants. Other items related to gardening also are available for purchase.
The Master Gardener booth offers information on a variety of topics and the chance to ask gardening questions.

Youth Job Fair set for April 24
A Job Fair for youth ages 14-21 will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at the City of Utica Youth Bureau, 220 Memorial Parkway.
Applicants are encouraged to "dress to impress." Bring identification/proof of age, working papers and a resume.

Levi is Kiwanis Student of the Month
The Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks has selected Laura Levi as its Student of the Month for February.
She is the daughter of Dan and Georgia Levi of Inlet and a senior at Town of Webb Union Free School.
Levi will receive $50 and with her parents be invited to an upcoming Kiwanis Recognition Event to make a brief presentation.

The results are in. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this year’s "Souper Bowl of Caring." Through our efforts and your generosity we collected $731, and 342 food items in 2018. This collection is for the direct benefit of St. Margaret's Food Pantry at Grace Church. Thank you for helping us to raise food, funds and awareness to help those in need.

Marchese appointed to Catholic Charities board
Wendy Marchese has been appointed to the Board of Catholic Charities of Herkimer County.
Marchese, who resides in Little Falls, is a counselor at Herkimer County Community College.
In her professional career she has worked with individuals and groups in crisis counseling, one-on-one sessions and program development.

Thank you for ... coming to aid during fire
Many thanks to the unknown gentleman who had the presence of mind and determination to stop and warn us of the recent fire at our home on Arlington Road. You undoubtedly saved us and our pets from injury or death. You truly were our Guardian Angel.
Also, thank you to all of the Utica Fire Department and Utica Police Department first responders who extinguished and investigated the fire. Your expertise, skill and professionalism are second to none.
