The Mohawk Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross is currently operating an emergency reception center for local residents evacuated by the Fish Creek and Oneida Lake flooding, according to a press release from the Red Cross.
The Vienna United Methodist Church on Route 49 in North Bay will serve as the Red Cross reception center. It will include meals and blankets for those affected.
Additionally, County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr. has issued a weather advisory for Oneida County due to the inclement weather. That advisory will abate at 1 p.m.
Picente still urges travelers to use caution after 1 p.m., as temperatures are expected to continue dropping through the night.
