SCHUYLER — A man and woman have been charged following an investigation into the manufacturing and sale of methamphetamine, state police said.

Amee L. Johnson, 29, and James M. Mitchell Jr., 30, were charged with felony third-degree unlawfully manufacturing methamphetamine, police said.

On Jan.11, a search warrant was executed by members the State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, the Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team and troopers from the Herkimer station at 121 Bono Blvd.

Investigators seized methamphetamine, packaging materials, several active “one pots” and a lab which was located in a shed at the rear of the property, officials said.

The New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team conducted a cleanup and removed the methamphetamine manufacturing components and hazardous materials from the shed.

Mitchell was arraigned in the town of Schuyler Court and remanded to the Herkimer County jail without bail due to two previous felony convictions, police said.

Johnson was arraigned and was sent to jail on $2000 cash bail/$10,000 bond.
