Hey, Mid-York Weekly readers! I hope everyone is staying warm. It was a very chilly weekend. Martin Luther King Day is Jan. 15. Take some time to remember him. Here is the rest of the news…

The Morrisville Fire Department responded to 28 calls in December. These calls consisted of 18 EMS, five fire, one MVA, and four mutual aid. The MFD answered 336 calls in 2017. Here is the breakdown for the year: 177 EMS, 99 fire, 28 MVA, and 31 mutual aid. Thank you MFD for all you do, and continue to do, in our community!

Ever been to a Garage Sale in the winter? Here is your opportunity. There will be a Mini Indoor Garage Sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 13 in the Youth Room, next to the Clothes Basket, at the Morrisville Community Church, 3824 Swamp Road. It is across from the Cedar Street Apartments.

The Clothes Basket will have a BOGO sale (buy one bag, get one bag free) in the Clothes Basket that day also. In addition, all Christmas items will be free.

A reminder: there are open auditions for “Sweeney Todd” at 7 p.m. Jan. 16 and 17 at the STUAC Theatre at Morrisville State College.

The Morrisville Community Church is sponsoring a Blood Drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Jan. 30 in their Fellowship Hall. Get out, if you are able, to give the gift of life. Make an appointment or walk in – it doesn’t matter. Your donation is appreciated.

The Lions Club is selling tickets for a 55” TV drawing. Some lucky person will be watching the Super Bowl (or anything else) on this 55” Sharp Class 4K (2160P) Smart LED TV. Tickets are $5. You can purchase three for $10. It’s on display at Cooley’s Home Center.

That’s all for now. Take care and have a good week.
