The Cornell Small Farms Program will offer “An Introduction to Tree Fruit Production,” an online course, from Jan. 17 to Feb. 21. Webinars will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday.
Office hours will begin at 6:30 p.m. the same evenings and the webinars will be recorded for future use.
This online course is designed to help beginning tree fruit growers with fundamental information in planning and management. Topics rootstock and cultivar selection, pest management, site selection and management and more.
The course will be instructed by Michael Basedow, regional fruit specialist with Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Eastern NY Commercial Horticulture Program (CCE ENYCHP), and Anna Wallis, a former regional fruit specialist with CCE ENYCHP.
