Limestone Ridge Historical Society:
We started off the December Christmas parties with the one for the historical society at Quack's in Madison.
What a delicious buffet they set up for us with all kinds of salads and plenty of hot foods to go with it. The roast beef they served was cooked just right. Our dessert was our choice of pie and that was also very good.
We always have a nice party here and we thank Father Kelly and Joan for planning the party and for our little church table favors.
Oriska Valley Senior Citizens:
Our next party was with the senior citizens at the White Eagle Conference Center Lodge. This is a nice place to have a party. We had a buffet again and the ham they served was cooked to perfection. Dessert was ice cream sundaes which we made ourselves.
It was a very nice party with over 70 people attending and I think everyone enjoyed it. I know we had a good time.
We are now meeting at the Oriskany Falls Legion and there is plenty of room for people to join us.
Burleigh and Oliver Apartments:
Aubrey and I attended the Christmas party dinner for the Burleigh and Oliver Apartment residents held at the Oriskany Falls Legion. We were served a turkey dinner and it was delicious. Everything was homemade and the dressing and turkey was so good; so were the homemade pies for dessert.
Mad Red Hatters:
I was unable to attend this party held at the home of Eva Idzi. She spends hours decorating her home and it is always beautiful. She always serves something good for dessert and I'm sorry I missed it.
This ended our month of Christmas parties and celebrations. I know the ones we did get to were all excellent.
It has been really cold and is extra cold when the wind blows. We are now into January so maybe we will have our cold now and snow later on.
