UTICA — The Catalyst group of the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce brought joy to the Mohawk Valley this holiday season by hosting the 3rd annual Jingle Jam on Thursday afternoon.
Catalyst, a group of young professionals invested in the Utica area, hosted the event from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Griffin’s Pub.
Steve Karboski, the coordinator of the event, said the event raises money in a non-tradition way.
“We’re trying to put a spin on fundraising with new friends, new faces and show people what Catalyst does.”
The group raised $1,800 before the start of the event through sponsorship, and a goal of more than $3,000 was sought from the party.
All proceeds benefit Toys for Teens through Operation Sunshine, which is an Observer-Dispatch charity that helps raise money for area children in need.
