The Hamilton Senior Center and SNACK site at Madison Lane held a pancake breakfast Saturday, Nov. 11. We generated around $150 net profit from this event. I would like to thank the community for your patronage. In addition I would like to thank all those volunteer helpers that made this event possible. We received many donations from people like Ann Jones and Bill Magee that helped greatly in producing a net profit.

We had a roast pork dinner on Nov. 21, made possible by the proceeds made by our pancake breakfast. We charged a small suggested donation of $3 for the pork dinner and our net cost was less than $10. The dinner was held in Building 5 and 25 seniors attended. Many thanks go to Susan Crouch who made the blueberry pies and the coleslaw, and to Julie Black who purchased the dinner rolls, tablecloths, and napkins. In addition, I want to say “great job” to all who helped to make this event possible.

We will have a roast beef dinner at 6 p.m. Dec. 13 in Building 2-3. Chef Mike Martin from Quacks Diner will cater this event. Following the dinner, the Blue Parsley Boys will perform at 7 p.m. for our senior residents of Madison Lane Apartments. The Blue Parsley Boys are a group of local men who are very proficient in singing a cappella. I am looking forward to this evening.
