Library Board Meeting:

The Board of Trustees of the Smyrna Public Library will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, at the library.

Children’s Story Time will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19. We’ll have a holiday scavenger hunt! Please note the change of day and time from last year. The next Story Time is scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9.

Barb’s knitting group:

After being away for Thanksgiving, I was glad to get back to the routine of the knitting group.

Kitty brought in her crocheted granny square Christmas Tree and showed us the blue sweater stocking she made. Arlene was doing a purple strip, Bonnie was knitting a dishcloth and Jan has only 12 inches to go on her shrug.

I gave some dishcloths that I knitted to the family down south. I finished the pink hat; now I have to do the lining and a jazzy flower.

The knitting group’s Christmas party is Dec. 19. Bring a dish to share, a gift that costs $5 or less and a super attitude of love and sharing. We want our members to come and have a good time. No stress!

The group meets from 10 a.m. until noon every Tuesday at the Smyrna Library. If you have something you would like to share, come on in. We try not to bite newcomers! That's a joke friends. See you here with us.

The library is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.
