The Morrisville State women’s ice hockey team battled out a 1-1 draw on Friday night, Dec. 1, in a non-conference match up with the Ravens from Franklin Pierce University.
The visiting Ravens and the home Mustangs both struggled to get their offense going, managing just 12 shots between them in the entire first period.
Alexziz Giannamore scored the lone goal for the Mustangs. Shanley Austin and Ciara Lark were credited with the assist. Karoline Arvik recorded 29 saves in goal for Morrisville.
The Mustangs suffered their third loss of the season Saturday falling 4-1 to the Ravens.
Maria deWilde picked up a pass from Ciara Lark and drove her way to the Ravens’ net for Morrisville’s only goal. Kimberly Hughes also assisted on the goal. Arvik recorded 21 saves in goal.
The Mustangs will hit the road Saturday, Dec. 9, for their final game of 2017 as they take on local rival, Utica College at 2 p.m.
