Host SUNY Cobleskill rallied back from a 15-point deficit at the half, but visiting Morrisville State College withstood the Fighting Tigers to pick up the 70-68 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win Wednesday, Nov. 29, in Cobleskill.
Morrisville picked up their second NEAC victory of the season Sunday afternoon as their balanced team effort resulted in a 78-57 win over host Penn College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The Mustangs were coming off a 96-81 loss to Eastern University Friday evening.
With Sunday's win, the Mustangs pull their overall record even to 3-3, and improve to 2-0 within NEAC play. Penn College drops to 1-7 overall, 0-3 within conference action.
Four recorded double figures for the Mustangs, including senior guard Trent Ward who led all scorers with 15 points, hitting three from beyond the arc. Sophomores Tyrin Miller and Kevin Dennis each contributed 11, while Derek Beames netted 10.
Morrisville State dominated the glass, out-rebounding Penn College 47-29, with junior Kyle Peck reining in 12, while adding nine points to his tallies on the day. Brison Hall added nine.
