Freshman guard, Alexis Campbell posted a collegiate best 21 points in her young career, to lead visiting Morrisville State College women’s basketball to a 67-62 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win over host SUNY Cobleskill Nov. 29 in Cobleskill.

After suffering a 67-57 non-conference loss to Hamilton College Friday, the Lady Mustangs shot a combined 55 percent from the floor for a season best outing, including 59.1 percent from long range, as they handed host Penn College an 87-69 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) defeat Sunday afternoon on the road in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The Mustangs up their record to 2-0 in conference play, and pull to 3-4 overall on the year. Penn College drops to 1-7 overall, 0-3 within NEAC action.

Five posted double figures in the all-around effort, including sophomore guard Tori Rockefeller who led the Mustangs with 18 points, draining 4-of-6 from downtown, while assisting three others.

Abby Halsey notched double-figures for a second straight game, adding 13 to go along with five rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Campbell added 12 points and four assists, while Peyton Jackson (Rochester, N.Y.) netted 11, hitting 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, while assisting three. Charlotte Walker rounded out the Mustang scoring leaderboard with 10 points, also collecting four steals.
