Kinney Drugs in Hamilton is once again sponsoring its annual “Be a Santa for a Senior” giving tree. This program is a Kinney Drugs company-wide program and each store partners with a local nursing home, senior housing complex or elsewhere a group of seniors may reside or visit in order to get names and people’s interests.

The Hamilton store has partnered with the Hamilton Adult Day Care to bring cheer and brighten the lives of seniors this holiday season. The paper ornament tags have the names of local seniors who attend the Crouse Community Center program. The tags are on the artificial Christmas tree located in the Pharmacy Department at the back of Kinney Drugs. Shoppers can pick out a tag and shop for the suggested items while doing their own shopping.

Each tag has the first name of senior, whether they are male or female, and a suggestion or two of what they would like. Shoppers can purchase a gift item, tape the tag to the unwrapped item and give it to a store associate. The gifts will be placed in the store’s collection area for distribution.

The gifts will be collected through Dec. 15.
