Price Rite Marketplace, which includes the store on Bleecker Street in Utica, is hosting a disaster relief fundraising campaign for residents of disaster-hit areas such as Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico, according to a news release from the company.
Price Rite stores will collect monetary donations at checkout and will benefit those in need through the American Red Cross.
“After seeing the devastation of the communities affected by the recent hurricanes, we, along with our shoppers and team members, knew that we had to do our part to aid in the recovery efforts,” said Jim Dorey, Executive Vice President of Price Rite Marketplace, in the release. "We truly hope that the efforts of the Price Rite community will assist (families affected by the hurricanes) during this difficult time.”
The fundraiser will continue until Saturday, Oct. 14.The Bleecker Street Price Rite store hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
